Deciding to lean into the figurative element, I focused on the double bellied section of the forms and not only scaled them up but also made them ovaloid, to mimic the female proportions I was going for. I used a larger nozzle for the printing, and I am really loving the dimples happening in the patterns. I printed them without a bottom or a top so that I have the freedom to experiment with the display of them, and potentially combine forms together. As the form is printing, there is a topographical feel to the shapes which I absolutely love, and seeing the layers come together, especially in this larger scale is so exciting to watch. One note of improvement for myself is to try and get more air out when loading the printer with slip- I was having issues with air pockets, which resulted in jets of compressed air shooting into the piece. Luckily they were structurally sound enough to stay standing, and I used those sections to test out adding the Egyptian paste into the pieces for it to flux out within the walls of the piece.
